The proposal is to start a 'Recovery Radio' project giving a voice to the recovery community of Birmingham and beyond, aiming to produce twelve monthly podcasts from February 2013. Everyone is welcome to get involved in this oppotunity to inspire, promote and celebrate recovery from addiction.
People in recovery are needed to take a lead in producing features and coordinating contributions. There will be some training in the skills needed to produce broadcast standard features, interviews, news, stories, etc.
If you are interested you can register for the workshops by simply texting your name to 07426 060 431 to receive SMS notifications and reminders for the workshops in January, you can also register by e-mail to recovery.radio@yahoo.co.uk

Absolutely great opportunity for me and a lot of people who are involved. My name is Jaine and luckily get to interview people to add on the Podcasts. I have already started thanks to Nick and Martine for the room and the voice recorders. Had so much fun recording my own voice and interviewing myself as soon as I got out of the meeting lol :) Got to have fun as well. Got my first real interveiw tomorrow at 2.30pm and I am so glad and Thankful for the people who have got this project off the ground and into reality. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
