Just to give people the `Low-Down' on UKRR`s First, Board of Trustees Meeting.
Few Nerves to begin with but after 5 minutes we were all having a good old laugh and chat, just to break the ice, as you do ;-)
Quick Introduction to our Board Members:
- Rich Maunders - UK Recovery Walk Chair
- Jaine Mason - UK Recovery Radio Member
- Councillor Jess Phillips - Labour Councillor for Longbridge
- Dr Ed Day - Consultant Psychiatrist at BSMHFT
- Jamie Sadler - Manager at DATUS
For our first meeting we managed to talk about, in full, all points on the agenda and also listen to what each individual, is bringing to the UKRR Trustee table, so to speak.
All in all, we had a good few hours to make decisions, get our constitution agreed and signed and off we went talking about brilliant links and ideas on how we can help get UKRR Rolling!!
Members of UKRR have already enrolled on courses, starting in July 2013, to do what they can, to help create funding ideas, training opportunities and make UKRR what it is destined to be, One of the LOUDEST Voices in the Recovery Community, Inspiring, Promoting and Celebrating Recovery from Addictions all over the World & the World Wide Web.
Big Thank you to all of our newly appointed, Trustee Board Members, for showing so much enthusiasm for UKRR and where we can take it, by working together as a team.
Solid Foundations make for a firm and Safe Bridge, to aid the recovery community on their own journey of discovery.
Little Jingle/Rhyme for you all
Listen, look & Watch out,
UK Recovery Radio`s about,
Every UKRR Member is also a scout,
So come on, join in and give us a shout.
